Trzebiatowsko-Kołobrzeski Pas Nadmorski

Trzebiatowsko-Kołobrzeski Pas Nadmorski is a large Special Area of Conservation in northwestern Poland, forming a roughly 60 kilometer stretch of habitat along the southern Baltic Sea coast. It lies entirely within the West Pomeranian Voivodeship on the Szczecin Coastal Plain (Pobrzeże Szczecińskie), spanning parts of the Trzebiatów Coast, Słowińskie Coast, Gryficka Plain, and Białogardzka Plain. The area was designated to protect the characteristic habitats of the southern Baltic shore. Seventeen natural habitat types have been recorded here, including Baltic coastal salt marshes, white and grey dunes, riverine willow scrub, riparian floodplain forests, sub-Atlantic oak-lime woodland, and shallow river estuaries where freshwater meets the sea. Its landscape combines active sea cliffs, sandy beaches, dune ridges, coastal lagoons, river estuaries, and the low-lying Baltic Pradolina filled with peat deposits. Despite being interrupted in places by built-up coastal settlements and farmland, the area functions as a coherent habitat corridor for sand-loving plants, mixed forests, wetland birds, and a sequence of dune ecosystems that are increasingly rare elsewhere in Poland.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
