Wzgórza Krzymowskie

Wzgórza Krzymowskie is a physical-geographical microregion in northwestern Poland, forming the northern-western part of the Myślibórz Lake District in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It consists of a range of moraine hills shaped by Pleistocene glaciation, with the highest point, Zwierzyniec, reaching about 167 meters above sea level. The central portion of the range is covered by the extensive Puszcza Piaskowa forest complex, while its western edge drops steeply toward the Lower Oder Valley. The hills lie at the meeting point of glacial, fluvial, and aeolian landscape processes. Moraine ridges alternate with lakes, ravines, streams, and small spring-fed watercourses that descend toward the Oder. Much of the area falls within the Cedyński Landscape Park and overlaps with a Natura 2000 special area of conservation, giving the microregion strong formal protection alongside its scenic character. Beyond its ecological significance, Wzgórza Krzymowskie is a regional destination for landscape-based tourism. Viewpoints, observation towers, marked hiking trails, and a network of small towns such as Cedynia, Chojna, and Moryń provide gateways into a landscape defined by panoramic vistas over the Oder valley and surrounding forests.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
