Řehořkovo Kořenecko Nature Park

Řehořkovo Kořenecko is a protected nature park in the Blansko District of the Czech Republic, occupying roughly 23 km² of upland landscape between the Protivanovská planina plateau and the Mojetínský hřbet ridge. The terrain sits at elevations between about 600 and 800 meters and is highlighted by the 721 m summit of Paprč, the highest point within the park. The park protects a mosaic of spruce forest, surviving beech stands, peatland remnants, small waterbodies, and traditional agricultural land. Its identity is strongly shaped by the Bělá stream, whose meanders, fens, and pond system give the area its most distinctive ecological character. Beyond nature, the park is also linked to local cultural memory, taking its name from the painter František Řehořek (1890 to 1982), who depicted the landscape in his work. Although smaller in scale than many Czech national parks, Řehořkovo Kořenecko plays a meaningful regional role by safeguarding a working cultural landscape, valuable wetland fragments, and a clearly defined upland scenery on the border between the Blansko and Prostějov countryside.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
