Parc maritime départemental Estérel-Théoule

The Parc maritime départemental Estérel-Théoule is a French departmental marine park located along the Mediterranean coast of the Alpes-Maritimes, immediately east of the Estérel massif and offshore from the commune of Théoule-sur-Mer in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region. It covers a coastal strip of roughly 3.5 square kilometres and is managed by the Conservatoire du littoral. Its purpose is to extend the protection of the Estérel coastline seaward, creating a continuous corridor of natural spaces between the coastal Pointe de l'Aiguille departmental park and the inland Estérel departmental natural park, which spans the communes of Mandelieu-La Napoule and Théoule-sur-Mer. The park is notable for the diversity of Mediterranean underwater habitats found along its shoreline, including rocky shallows, pebble beds, sandy patches, Posidonia seagrass meadows, and coralligenous algae formations. These environments support rich biodiversity and form one of the accessible underwater discovery areas on the French Riviera.

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate
