Historic mountain gorge and cave system in the Sierra Madre

Biak-na-Bato National Park

Biak-na-Bato National Park is a protected landscape in central Luzon, Philippines, situated within the Sierra Madre mountain range approximately 80 kilometers northeast of Manila. The area holds significant historical importance as the former headquarters of revolutionary leader Emilio Aguinaldo and contains remnants of stone fortifications and observation posts from that era. The park serves as a living museum of both natural and cultural heritage, offering visitors a combination of adventure tourism, historical exploration, and ecological discovery within a relatively accessible distance from the capital.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
