Dębno Nature Reserve

Dębno Nature Reserve is a small forest nature reserve in the Wielkopolska region of west-central Poland, situated in Gmina Rawicz within Rawicz County. It lies in the Dolina Świętojańska valley, within the larger Las Łaszczyński forest, near the S5 expressway. The reserve was established in 1961 to protect a fragment of moist mixed conifer forest with a Magnocaricetum community, both for its scientific and educational value. Today its primary conservation goal is to preserve a mixed forest ecosystem featuring monumental oak specimens and a population of the great capricorn beetle, Cerambyx cerdo. Despite its modest size, the reserve is notable for combining old-growth tree characteristics, rare beetle habitat, and active forest renaturation efforts aimed at restoring native woodland composition in the lowlands of Greater Poland.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
