Mszar koło Siemidarżna

Mszar koło Siemidarżna is a small peatland nature reserve in northwestern Poland, on the Równina Gryficka plain in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It protects a fragment of wet forest and peatland habitat within the Gosław forest district, surrounded by a buffer zone that shields its hydrology and its spruce stands. The reserve was established in late 2011 on the basis of a regional director of environmental protection order, and it is managed under strict protection, with no forestry or other interventions permitted within its borders. Its main purpose is to preserve the characteristic vegetation of raised bogs and transitional mires, along with the rich bryophyte and vascular flora typical of such wetland habitats. Although compact in scale, the reserve is significant because it concentrates several legally protected natural habitats and a notable set of protected plant species in a single small site, illustrating how peatland fragments can carry disproportionate ecological value within the surrounding lowland forest landscape.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
