About Na víně

Na víně

Na víně is a small protected natural monument located on a low hill of the same name near the village of Újezd pod Troskami, in the Jičín District of the Hradec Králové Region, Czechia. The site occupies roughly five hectares across the hilltop and a portion of its slopes, sitting between approximately 310 and 356 meters in elevation. It was established in 1990 specifically to shelter a distinctive community of broadleaved dry grassland growing on calcareous opoka slopes. The protected area's significance lies in its rare and thermophilous flora, including populations of the wild pasqueflower (Anemone sylvestris), a species of conservation concern in central Europe. The site is also notable for its geological setting within the Jičín Upland and for the ongoing management challenge of preventing shrub encroachment on the open grassland habitat. Na víně forms part of the broader network of small protected natural monuments in the Jičín District and represents a locally important example of the dry calcareous grasslands that once characterized parts of the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin landscape.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
