Hrádeček Nature Park

Hrádeček Nature Park is a small protected landscape area in the Czech Republic, situated west of the district town of Trutnov in the Trutnov District of the Hradec Králové Region. The park stretches between the village of Hertvíkovice and the municipality of Vlčice, occupying a hilly transitional landscape at the edge of the eastern Giant Mountains foothills. The area is defined by a ring of forested summits, including Vlčí skála at 587 meters, Pekelský vrch at 583 meters, Havran at 564 meters, and Skalka at 550 meters. Within the protected area lies the ruin of Břecštejn, a small hilltop castle that adds a notable cultural-historical layer to the otherwise naturally framed scenery. Established on 17 April 2000 by the Trutnov District Office, the park functions as a regional landscape protection area rather than a strict nature reserve. Its purpose is to preserve the visual and ecological character of a populated countryside setting, balancing rural land use, hiking access, and the conservation of hill forest and meadow habitats typical of the Podkrkonoší sub-region.

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
