Równina Szubińsko-Łabiszyńska

Równina Szubińsko-Łabiszyńska is a Polish Natura 2000 site in the European network of protected habitats, located in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship southwest of Bydgoszcz. Designated under the code PLH040029 as a Site of Community Importance, the site covers approximately 2,826 hectares of the Noteć river valley and the surrounding flat lowland plain. The protected area is built on organic, peat-rich soils laid down by the meandering Noteć and shaped further by the construction of the Górnonotecki Canal in the late nineteenth century. Today it forms a mosaic of wet meadows, oak-elm-ash floodplain forests, oak-hornbeam woodlands on small elevations, and patches of xerothermic vegetation on sandy rises. Its conservation purpose is the maintenance of these natural habitats and the plant and animal species associated with them, particularly the protected amphibian fauna and characteristic meadow flora of the Noteć floodplain. The site is part of a broader corridor of protected natural areas along the Noteć valley and functions as a national-scale ecological corridor between surrounding Natura 2000 sites.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
