Trzebiatów Coast (Wybrzeże Trzebiatowskie)

Wybrzeże Trzebiatowskie is a Special Protection Area for birds (PLB320010) that runs about 54 kilometers along the Baltic Sea in northwestern Poland, entirely within the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. Stretching from the mouth of the Świniec River near Kamień Pomorski to the outskirts of Kołobrzeg, it covers roughly 31,758 hectares of coastal habitat in a narrow but continuous band. The site was designated in 2007 by Poland's Minister of the Environment to safeguard wild bird populations and maintain their habitats in good condition. It hosts 35 bird species listed in Annex II of the EU Birds Directive and overlaps with four nature reserves and the broader Trzebiatowsko-Kołobrzeski Pas Nadmorski Community interest area. Large lagoon lakes, sand dune systems, wet meadows, and reed beds define the coastal landscape, making this area a recognized stronghold for migratory and breeding waterbirds along the southern Baltic shoreline.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
