Dęby Biesiadne Nature Reserve (Mariana Pulkowskiego)

Dęby Biesiadne Nature Reserve is a small forest nature reserve in the Mazovian Voivodeship of east-central Poland, in Kozienice County within Głowaczów commune. It is administered through the Studzianki forest district of the Dobieszyn Forest Administration and was legally established on 8 August 2006 by order of the Masovian Voivodeship governor. The reserve's purpose is to preserve a representative stand of natural oak-hornbeam forest (Tilio-Carpinetum typicum) typical of the Polish lowlands. Its central feature is a roughly 220-year-old oak old-growth stand with a strong presence of hornbeam, surrounded by related communities of upland oak-hornbeam forest and riparian oak-elm forest. The dominant forest habitat type in the reserve is fresh mixed deciduous forest, giving the protected area a notably classical Central European woodland character.
