Okomu National Park is a protected rainforest area in Edo State, southern Nigeria, representing one of the last substantial fragments of the Guinea-Congo lowland forest ecosystem that once covered much of the region. Established as a wildlife sanctuary in 1935 and redesignated as a national park in 1999, it covers approximately 200 square kilometers within the larger Okomu Forest Reserve. The park lies about 60 kilometers northwest of Benin City in the Ovia South-West Local Government Area, positioned between the Osse River to the east and the Okomu River to the west. Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
