Bagno Iglickie Nature Reserve

Bagno Iglickie Nature Reserve is a strictly protected, floristic peatland reserve located in the Resko commune of the Łobez powiat, in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship of northwestern Poland. It sits within the Równina Gryficka mesoregion, a flat lowland landscape shaped by glacial history, and belongs to the Resko Forest District (Nadleśnictwo Resko). The reserve was established in late December 2016 to conserve a post-lake peatland complex that has developed within the basin of a former lake with drained shores. Despite decades-old drainage canals crossing the site, the bog maintains a high water table and continues active peat-forming processes. It protects lowland calcareous fens of European Union habitat interest, including spring młaka communities, tall sedge beds, and rich brown-moss carpets. Bagno Iglickie is recognized for its near-pristine condition, having been identified during a 2006 to 2007 State Forests inventory. Its difficult accessibility means the full ecological inventory is still incomplete, but surveys have already documented 74 vascular plant taxa, including species endangered both in West Pomerania and in Poland as a whole.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
