Indravati National Park

Indravati National Park is a prominent national park and tiger reserve located in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh state in central India. It derives its name from the Indravati River, which flows eastward and forms the northern boundary of the reserve with the neighboring state of Maharashtra. The park is one of four Project Tiger sites in Chhattisgarh and represents a significant conservation landscape in central India, protecting tropical moist deciduous and dry deciduous forest ecosystems. Indravati is notably home to one of the last remaining populations of the endangered wild water buffalo, making it internationally significant for biodiversity conservation.
