Viliukų, Karpių miškai

Viliukų–Karpių miškai is a lowland forest complex in central Lithuania, situated in the Ukmergė district within the Deltuva eldership. The surrounding villages include Viliukai, Jakutiškiai, Bardiškiai, Kačėniškiai, and Pramislava, and the forest mosaic is bordered on its southern edge by the regional road Kėdainiai–Šėta–Ukmergė. Together with the adjoining Jakutiškiai woodlands, the area totals approximately 777 hectares and falls under the management of the Ukmergė forestry district, Viliukai forest range. Part of this forest has been formally recognized as a biosphere polygon (Viliukų miško biosferos poligonas) since 2012, protecting a valuable woodland ecosystem that hosts rare European-protected plant, animal, and fungal species. Since 2005, the Viliukų forest has been designated as a Natura 2000 site of community importance for habitat conservation, particularly for rare butterflies of European concern. Ecologically, the area is significant for its mix of broadleaved and wetland forest habitats, its mesotrophic soils, and a connectivity to the Armona river basin. Forest inventories show a dominance of birch and spruce stands, with contributions from aspen, ash, black alder, pine, white alder, and oak communities.

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
