Kinabalu Park

Kinabalu Park is a national park in the state of Sabah, on the northern part of the island of Borneo in Malaysia. Established in 1964, it is one of the first national parks of Malaysia and was inscribed as Malaysia's first UNESCO World Heritage Site in December 2000. The park surrounds Mount Kinabalu, the highest peak in Malaysia and one of the most prominent mountain landmarks in Southeast Asia. The park is recognized by UNESCO as a Centre of Plant Diversity for Southeast Asia and is renowned for its extraordinary biological richness.
