Strzelecki Landscape Park

Strzelecki Landscape Park is a protected landscape area in eastern Poland, situated on the border between the Chełm and Hrubieszów poviats in the Lublin Voivodeship. Stretching across the gminas of Dubienka, Białopole, Horodło, and Hrubieszów, the park is dominated by extensive pine forests that cover the great majority of its area, making it a classic example of a forest-rich Polish landscape park. The park's most distinctive geographical feature is the broad valley of the Bug River, which reaches its greatest width in the northern part of the protected area. The river follows a natural course, weaving through numerous meanders and leaving behind oxbow lakes known locally as bużyska that gradually fill with vegetation. The combination of large-scale forest cover and the river valley defines both the ecological character and the scenic identity of the park. Strzelecki Landscape Park is recognized for its rich biodiversity, including rare protected plant species and important breeding habitat for forest raptors. Two nature reserves and eleven natural monuments add to the park's conservation value, and the Bug valley is regarded as an internationally important bird area.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
