Ao Siam National Park

Ao Siam National Park is a protected coastal area located on the western shore of the Gulf of Thailand in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province of southern Thailand. The park encompasses a diverse landscape that includes mainland forest areas as well as several offshore islands, spanning a total area of approximately 31.94 square kilometers. It is currently in a preparatory phase for reopening as a formal national park, governed by Thailand's Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation. The protected area merges several former forest park designations, including the Pa Klang Ao Forest Park and Mae Ramphueng Forest Park, along with a cluster of three islands known as Koh Talu, Koh Sing, and Koh Sangkh. This coastal region of Thailand is characterized by its blend of tropical forest ecosystems and marine environments, representing a transitional zone between mainland protected areas and the gulf's island systems.
