Dilijan National Park

Dilijan National Park is one of Armenia's four national parks, established in 2002 on the basis of a former state reserve created in 1958. The park occupies 240 square kilometers of mountainous terrain in the northeastern Tavush Province, at elevations ranging from 1,070 to 2,300 meters above sea level. It encompasses the slopes of five distinct mountain ranges—the Pambak, Areguni, Miapor, Ijevan (Kaeni), and Halab—dissected by the Aghstev River and its tributaries. The park is renowned for its extensive deciduous forest landscapes, which represent some of the most well-preserved woodland in the Caucasus region, as well as its exceptional biodiversity, medicinal mineral water springs, and rich collection of medieval Armenian religious monuments. An extensive network of hiking trails, including an 80-kilometer section of the Transcaucasian Trail, traverses the park's terrain.

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
