Nechkinsky National Park

Nechkinsky National Park is a federal protected area in the Udmurt Republic of Russia, occupying a significant stretch of the middle Kama River valley and the shoreline of the Votkinsk Reservoir. The park was established in 1997 specifically to conserve the natural complexes of the Kama basin, which are valued for their ecological, cultural, and recreational importance. The landscape blends an uplifted, deeply dissected right bank of the Kama with a low-lying left bank built from river alluvium. Mixed and coniferous forests cover much of the terrain, while floodplain meadows, old river channels, wetlands, and aquatic habitats create diverse ecological conditions along the reservoir shore. This combination of river, forest, and wetland habitats supports one of the richest concentrations of native flora and fauna found anywhere in Udmurtia. Beyond its natural value, the park lies within a region shaped by Finno-Ugric cultural heritage and is surrounded by historic towns. It serves as both a conservation stronghold and an accessible natural area for visitors exploring the Kama region.

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate
