Namtok Sam Lan National Park

Namtok Sam Lan National Park is a protected area in central Thailand located in Saraburi Province, approximately six kilometers south of Saraburi town. Established on June 2, 1981, the park covers an area of about 45 square kilometers encompassing parts of four districts: Kaeng Khoi, Nong Khae, Wihan Daeng, and Mueang Saraburi. The park's landscape features low mountain ranges reaching a high point of 329 meters at Khao Khrok peak, mixed deciduous and evergreen forests, and several notable waterfalls that form its primary attractions. The area holds historical significance as the site of a Japanese military encampment during World War II, after which the Thai government initiated forest restoration efforts in 1960. The park is classified under IUCN Category II as a national park and is administered by Thailand's Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation.
