Lakeside National Park

Lakeside National Park is a recently established protected area in the Mid West region of Western Australia, situated approximately 50 kilometres south-west of the town of Cue within the Shire of Cue. The park covers an area of 8,490 hectares and was officially declared on 18 February 2021, making it one of the newer additions to Western Australia's network of national parks. It lies within the Murchison bioregion, a vast area of semi-arid woodland, shrubland and grass plains that characterizes much of inland Western Australia. The establishment of this protected area reflects ongoing efforts to preserve Western Australia's diverse ecological communities and geological heritage, particularly in regions where large-scale protection has historically been limited.
