Øvre Pasvik National Park is a protected wilderness area in the far north of Norway, situated in the southeastern part of the Pasvikdalen valley within Sør-Varanger Municipality in Finnmark county. The park covers approximately 119 square kilometers of boreal landscape and was established on February 6, 1970, originally covering 66 square kilometers before being expanded in 2003. The park is distinguished by its Siberian-like taiga ecosystem, featuring extensive old-growth forests of Scots pine, shallow lakes, and interconnected bog systems. Its western border follows the Finland-Norway border, while the eastern boundary encompasses a network of lakes including Ivergammevatnet and Ødevatnet. The park forms part of the larger Pasvik–Inari Trilateral Park, which connects protected areas across Norway, Russia, and Finland, creating one of Europe's most significant transboundary conservation landscapes.
