Radal Siete Tazas National Park

Radal Siete Tazas National Park is a protected area in the Maule Region of central Chile, situated in the pre-Andean foothills near the Descabezado Grande volcano. The park encompasses approximately 41.4 square kilometers of mountainous terrain ranging from 650 meters to 2,600 meters in elevation. Its defining feature is the Siete Tazas, or Seven Cups, a series of seven consecutive natural rock pools carved along the Claro River, each with its own waterfall dropping between one and ten and a half meters. Beyond the main attraction, the park contains two spectacular high waterfalls: El Velo de Novia, plunging 40 meters in a single vertical drop, and La Leona, falling 20 meters. The protected area was reclassified as a national park in 2008, joining Chile's system of IUCN Category II protected areas managed by the Corporación Nacional Forestal.
