Núi Chúa National Park

Núi Chúa National Park is a coastal protected area in Khánh Hòa Province on Vietnam's South Central Coast, established in 2003. The park occupies a distinctive mountainous promontory that projects into the South China Sea between Cam Ranh and Phan Rang bays, creating a unique landscape where arid terrain meets marine environments. The park covers approximately 24,353 hectares of terrestrial land and an additional 7,352 hectares of protected marine area. Elevations range from sea level to 1,039 meters at the summit of Núi Chúa peak. The area is notable for being one of the driest regions in Vietnam, receiving an average of only 650 millimeters of rainfall annually with an eight-month dry season. This semi-arid character makes the park's vegetation particularly distinctive and valuable as a genetic resource for restoration efforts in increasingly drought-prone areas.

Distance methodology

Geographic measurements, not driving distances

How nearby park distances are calculated

Distances use park boundaries whenever the available geometry allows it. When one or both boundaries are missing, the mapped park locations provide a clearly labelled estimate. Every value represents straight-line geographic separation and does not use roads or routing.

Boundary distance

Calculated between the nearest points of both park boundaries.

Location-to-boundary estimate

Estimated from one mapped park location to the nearest boundary of the other park.

Mapped-location estimate

Estimated between the mapped locations of both parks.
